The Balance Artist Gift Guide Series {Beauty}

Welp, I am getting into the holiday mood while working at home today; wearing my favorite bird pajama pants, snuggly Uggs, listening to Christmas music, drinking my gingerbread coffee and snacking on my Trader Joe’s Ginger Cat Cookies….oh, and listening to the sweet sounds of the snow plow outside. I’d say it is officially winter.

Snow on Holly

Two snow storms so far this week! {Whom those in the weather industry have dubbed Winter Storms Cleon and Dion…? Seriously?}

Post-Thanksgiving, I went to town decorating our apartment for my favorite time of the year. And our little town of West Chester makes for the most beautiful holiday setting; lights, fir boughs, ribbons and all, adorning the historic buildings.

Christmas Decorations

Moose Lights

In anticipation for Christmas, this week I will post some gift guides for any last-minute shopping inspiration. First up, Beauty Buys for the lover of all things glossy. These are some of my current faves!

TBA Gift Guides {Beauty}

1. Essie Sable Collar // 2. Tarte Maracuja Oil // 3. Lush Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask // 4. Wet’n’Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Cherry Bomb 918D // 5. Loreal Sublime Tanning Towelettes // 6. Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter // 7. Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Beige // 8. Urban Decay Naked3 Palette

1. It’s my go-to nail color right now; amazing formula, and gorgeous, unique color. Similar to the depth of For the Twill of It, but a little more classic.

2. I put this on every night after washing my face, and I swear, it evens out skin tone and texture and makes it super soft. I don’t even moisturize at night…this stuff is worth the money! LOVE Tarte.

3. The best face mask, hands down. If you live close to a Lush store that makes their own masks….buy buy buy! This stuff even smells amazing.

4. Really into a dramatic lip lately, and Wet’n’Wild helps you to try the look out without blowing your grocery budget. This stuff is like $2!

5. I swear by these…way cheaper than other towelettes, & doesn’t stain clothing or sheets since the formula is clear; one before bed gives you a nice even “healthy” glow, while using them two nights in a row makes for a much more dramatic bronze. I’ll take these over skin cancer any day!!

6. Super cheap and an amazing, buttery body moisturizer. This stuff smells tropical and leaves your skin so soft. Apparently they have a pumpkin version {!!!} in the fall, but neither one of my TJ’s carry it.

7. Love this gloss…just got it recently and it is my favorite. Looks pretty and subtle on its own, and looks great layered over lipstick. Creamy and not sticky, and smells like a cupcake. Win.

8. I ordered this as a gift to myself {hello, Sephora VIB $20 gift card!!}. I wear the other two Naked palettes every day; they are so versatile and the quality is superb. This one is definitely on the more rosy side, which I tend to be wary of, but I am trusting in UD to pull through as they always do on this one! Hoping the all-new shades will look gorgeous on, and not like I got punched in the eyeball. We shall see…but ANY beauty-lover will have this much-anticipated one on their list this year!

Coming this week: tech and kitchen gadgets, home goods, and more.
